France, 1940-60s
These gold bar boxes were produced in France during the 1940-60s and used by the Banque de France.
Once used to transport and house gold bars, these boiled cardboard containers provide an opportunity for beautiful small storage and organization in plain sight and a great story. Each box and lid are reinforced with double layers that are then finished with iron rivets.
