Patinated Elephant Ear planter designed by Willy Guhl and handmade by Eternit, AG of Switzerland, ca. 1960.
Generally mis-identified as Handkerchief or Mouchoir planters, the Elephant Ear planter is authenticated by having two diagonally opposing flat corners and two diagonally opposing downward sloping corners.
This planter is made of cellulose infused fiber cement, making it light but extremely durable. There are 3 drain holes inside of the vessel and all corners are intact.
