This vintage balloon mold is industry turned art - always a conversation piece when hung on the wall or an interesting sculptural piece to sit on large coffee table.
This particular mold has green and black spindles and a heavily textured painted frame.
Manufacturing of balloons took place by coating the spindle pegs with powder, then dipping into hot latex and baking. Once dried the balloon was peeled off.
